RallyNav was developed from an idea that Ivan Voevodin had to make an application to help his fellow rally drivers record their pace notes. Ivan has been rallying for several years and has occasionally taken “the silly seat” to recce/navigate for various events. Realising how much time and effort goes into taking pace notes, he thought there must be an easier way.
He approached Subarashi, a newly formed software development company, and suggested a joint venture in the development of RallyNav. Ivan designed a simple graphical interface that became the template for what is now RallyNav:
RallyNav has since become more than just a simple tool for making easy-to-read pace notes. It now includes course management, time recording and the revolutionary race mode.
